Digital Inclusion

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Digital Inclusion project aims to help vulnerable migrants and refugees to get closer to employment and further education. Clear evidence indicates the pandemic crisis has created an urgent need for pre-Entry/Entry 1 ESOL combined with basic digital skills. This project aims to develop integrated provision, delivered online and face-to-face, to address the challenges of learning English during pandemic crisis times.

people INVOLVED

Beneficiaries come from across Greater Manchester to join online sessions and face to face to our central Manchester offices, following appropriate social distancing guidance.

This project targets learners with very low levels of English (hard to reach target group) and poor digital skills who most have been affected by the pandemic. Teachers and volunteers provide intensive individual support to help learners to increase levels of confidence and be able to move forward. This project we believe is making a big difference in their education and overall journey to employment and quality of life.
