LATIN AMERICAN SUPPORT NETWORK

PROJECT BACKGROUND

LASNET started as a MS pilot project in 2016 by a group of volunteers from Latin American background living in Greater Manchester and it was set up to help people who are new in the region and also to create a collaborative platform to incentive integration and celebration their cultural background.

LASNET became part of the Coalition of Latin Americans in the UK CLAUK in the following years.

A new project with the support from CLAUK started during the Covid19 crisis and aims to engage with people with Latin American background or strong links with the Latin American community in the North West of England mainly but not exclusively who would like to strengthen the network in the region in particular during these difficult times.

In November 2021 LASNET became a non-registered non-profit group adopting its first constitution.
